Setting Up Your Catalog - How to Sell a Product in Bulk

If your products are normally sold in large units, or in bulk, Magento Go allows you to manage this and let customers made bulk purchases. The Magento Go system does this using certain attributes that you can specify when creating new products in your catalog.

What exactly do we mean by bulk selling? Let’s say you were selling wine in cases of 6. This “6-Pack Wine” would be an example of a single product (the Wine product) being sold in bulk.

How to sell a Product in Bulk:

1. In the Admin Panel, select Catalog > Manage Products.
2. Select the product you wish to sell in bulk by clicking its respective row. This will take you to theProduct Information page
3. Click Inventory from the left side panel.
4. Set Qty for Item’s Status to Become Out of Stock to the bulk quantity amount.
5. Set Enable Qty Increments to Yes.
6. Next, set Qty Increments to the bulk quantity (in our example, this would be six).
7. Once this is completed, click [Save Config].
